A 35-year-old man gunned down Monday morning in a Laval parking lot has died of his wounds and the investigation into his death turned over to the Sûreté du Québec, Laval police said Tuesday.
The victim, who was known to police, was shot at least once in the upper body at 4 a.m. in the parking lot of a multi-unit dwelling on du Havre des Îles Ave. near l’île Paton in the city’s Chomedey district. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition but died of his wounds on Monday afternoon.
A spent cartridge casing was found at the scene.
