A car flipped onto its roof in the middle of the Logan Motorway during the Friday morning peak-hour, causing major delays for westbound traffic.
The crash, involving a truck and car, happened about 7.30am near the Stapylton Road off-ramp in Heathwood and forced the closure of all westbound lanes on the motorway.
The motorway was not reopened until about 9am, by which time almost seven kilometres of delays stretched back to Kingston.
The traffic was so heavy that it was taking cars stuck in the congestion an estimated an hour and 45 minutes to move seven kilometres.
Paramedics took two patients to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition. with both suffering minor injuries.
