A truck has rolled and spilled its load across Kingsford Smith Drive, blocking all inbound and outbound lanes to the north of Brisbane’s CBD.
The crash happened just after 1.35pm on Monday at the Breakfast Creek Road and Inner City Bypass interchange in Albion.
Police were diverting drivers down Cooksley Street but urged motorists to avoid the area.
By 2.15pm, bumper-to-bumper congestion stretched more than three kilometres from the crash scene and it was taking drivers more than 35 minutes to move a few kilometres.
Paramedics were called to the scene and took the truck driver to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
They were in a stable condition with minor injuries.
