Northbridge bouncer charged after ‘breaking teen’s jaw in headlock’

A Perth bouncer is accused of breaking a teenager’s jaw in a violent nightclub attack early Sunday morning.

Nine News Perth reporter Jerrie Demasi said the 48-year-old man put Mitchell Clarke, 19, in a headlock while kicking him out of Coconut Grove bar in Northbridge around 1am.

«The force of that headlock was so intense the teenager’s jaw was allegedly broken in three places and eight of his teeth were shattered,» she said.

«Perth detectives say the teenager was not intoxicated and they’re still unsure as to why the bouncer decided to kick him out in the first place.»
